Connect Meta Ads
Review campaign performance without changing your ads.
Before you start
Use a Facebook account with access to the correct business and ad account.
Step by step
- Open Integrations → Meta Ads → Configure.
- Select Connect with Meta Ads.
- In Facebook, review the business and ad account you authorize.
- Approve access and return to Nod. If an account selector appears, choose the one you want to review.
- Open Meta Ads and check campaigns, date range, and metrics. The initial load covers the last 90 days; updates then run hourly.
Ad account and reporting period
Choose the ad account containing the business’s campaigns. Being able to sign in to Facebook does not prove access to that account. If it is missing from the selector, review your Meta user permissions before authorizing again.
Campaign reporting is read-only: viewing a campaign in Nod does not change ads or budgets. After connecting, check the reporting period and a known campaign; do not compare the initial screen with a different Ads Manager date range. If a funnel stage lacks linked data, investigate that stage’s measurement rather than assuming there were no registrations, bookings, or sales.
Conversions API: what is sent and who decides
Conversions API is an optional connection, separate from campaign reporting. Only when you enable it does Nod send server-side events for form submissions, scheduled calls, purchases, subscription starts, and customer signups. Email, phone number, first name, last name, and internal identifier are hashed using SHA-256; fbc, when available, and purchase amounts and currencies are also sent. You can disable it in Meta Ads.
Your business is the controller of its contacts’ data, and Nod transmits it on your behalf. Meta receives it as a controller under its terms; Meta’s Controller Addendum governs any applicable joint-controller operations. Meta acts as an independent controller for subsequent processing it determines on its own.
Before enabling Conversions API
- Identify the legal basis for the transfer and inform your contacts in your website or landing page privacy policy before enabling the connection.
- Obtain consent where required and honor its withdrawal. Server-side transmission and hashing do not remove these obligations.
- Adapt the following template to the events you use, your legal basis, and your contact channel for rights requests. Meta preferences do not replace your business’s responsibility to handle requests.
Template for your business privacy policy
We use Meta’s Conversions API to send Meta information about actions you take, such as submitting forms, booking calls, and making purchases, from the server through Nod to measure and optimize our advertising campaigns. Your email address, phone number, first name, last name, and internal identifier are hashed using SHA-256 before transmission. The ad click identifier (fbc), when available, is also sent, along with the amount and currency of purchases. Hashing pseudonymizes these identifiers but does not make them anonymous.
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. processes this data under its Business Tools Terms (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/businesstools). Meta’s Controller Addendum (https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum) applies to operations involving joint controllership; Meta acts as an independent controller for subsequent processing it determines on its own.
We transmit data on the legal basis stated in this policy and, where required, with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You can exercise your rights through the contact channel listed in this policy and adjust your advertising preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
Processing may involve transfers to the United States. The EU–US Data Privacy Framework applies to processing covered by Meta Platforms, Inc.’s certification; where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses and the safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR apply. What to expect
Data from the selected ad account appears in Meta Ads.
Troubleshooting
Campaign reporting is read-only: it does not create ads or change budgets. Sending events through Conversions API is an optional connection that you enable separately.
If the account is missing, check your Meta permissions and the authorized business. Also check the date range before interpreting an empty table.
