Nod AI
Enable Automatic Call Booking in Nod AI
Offer available times and book a call inside an Instagram conversation after the lead confirms.
Before you start
You need a Nod AI plan, an active autonomous agent, an approved playbook, and permission to configure Nod AI. Connect a supported calendar first. The agent offers times only to qualified leads in AI-managed conversations.
Step by step
- Open Nod AI → AI management → Automatic scheduling.
- In “Where the slots come from,” choose the calendar source. Each business can use one source at a time.
- Select the event or complete the Nod calendar settings, then save.
- Test availability. You need a successful result showing open times within the next 7 days.
- Optionally test a booking to check that the connection can create an appointment. Read the confirmation first: this creates a real booking and attempts to cancel it immediately, and may send emails.
- Turn on automatic booking. The card shows that it is active and identifies the selected provider.
Choose a supported calendar
Nod’s calendar uses the attending team member’s Google Calendar. Choose the member, duration, days, hours, and minimum notice. Working hours use the business’s time zone.
iClosed uses the connected event and assigns the closer according to its own settings. Calendly requires Standard or higher and a fixed location, such as Google Meet or Zoom. Cal.com needs an event without required questions the agent cannot answer.
Reconnect Calendly or Cal.com if you connected it before October 16, 2026, to grant the newer availability permissions.
GoHighLevel can show availability, but appointment creation permission is not enabled yet. Do not rely on it to complete automatic bookings: those booking attempts are handed to a person.
What happens in the conversation
- The agent checks availability and offers up to three real times within the next 7 days.
- It collects the lead’s full name and email if they are not already in the contact record or conversation.
- It requests explicit confirmation of the specific time and email. A request for a different time does not confirm the previous offer.
- Nod checks the slot again and creates the booking. The conversation moves to the booked-call state and the agent confirms the appointment.
Test again after changing settings
Saving any change turns off automatic booking and clears the previous test results. Test availability again before enabling it.
The agent does not reschedule or cancel appointments in the chat, and Nod does not add its own reminders. The calendar provider handles its links and notifications.
When a booking is unconfirmed
Open the conversation from the alert and read the reason. If the booking is unconfirmed, check the calendar provider first to see whether it exists. Do not create another booking before checking: a delayed response may still have created the original appointment.
If there are no open times or the calendar cannot be read, the agent uses the playbook’s booking link when available or hands the conversation to a person. An unreadable calendar is never treated as an empty calendar.
What to expect
The confirmed call appears in Sales → Calls, Calendar, and the selected provider. Recent activity in AI management records the booking.
Troubleshooting
If there are no times available, check working hours, minimum notice, and the next 7 days.
Reconnect an expired connection or one with missing permissions, then test again.
If a test booking cannot be canceled, cancel it in the provider. If the request times out, check there to see whether it was created.
The agent does not create another booking when the lead already has a pending call. Rescheduling requires a person.
