Account and permissions
Add and manage team members
Give access to people working in your business.
Before you start
You need permission to manage the team. Student accounts are managed under Customers.
Step by step
- Open Team and check whether the person already has an account.
- Select New member and enter their name, email, role, and the access details requested by the form.
- Choose a role that matches their work. Creating or changing administrators is reserved for the owner.
- Review required custom fields and save the member.
- To make changes, open the person’s record and review their identity, role, and access status.
- When someone leaves, consider disabling access before deleting their account.
Create an account with the right access
Team accounts are for people working inside the business. Students belong in Clients. Check the email before saving: a typo can prevent sign-in or create another identity for someone who already exists.
The role sets the starting point for permissions. After creating the account, review the areas and capabilities the person actually needs, including individual exceptions when used. Team membership does not automatically grant access to all Leads or every End of Day response. When someone leaves, review access status and ongoing task ownership before deleting an account.
What to expect
The person appears in Team with the correct role and access.
Troubleshooting
If the email is already in use, do not create another account with an invented address. Check the existing account.
Being able to view Team does not grant management access. Check the specific permission if you cannot save changes.
