Prepare an Instagram automation

Before you start

You need an authorized Instagram account and automation-management permissions. Publishing enables real replies.

Step by step

1. Open Automations in Nod AI and create a draft or start from a template.
2. Choose the trigger: direct message, post or reel comment, or story reply.
3. Set keywords and the relevant posts where applicable.
4. Prepare the message and resources. Review links, content, and recipients.
5. Use the editor’s review and simulator. Moving to the next step does not save or publish.
6. Save and publish only once the flow is checked. Review results and the queue in management.

Drafts, publication, and incoming messages

The editor prepares the trigger and message. Saving a draft does not automatically change the published version. Review the account and revision in Manage before enabling the rule. A keyword in a comment, a DM, or a story reply belongs to a different event type.

Exact requires the whole word or phrase; Contains matches that word or phrase within the message, not letters inside another word. For DMs, keyword triggers open a conversation; they should not be treated as automatic replies to every message in an ongoing chat. If several rules match, review their post scope and priority before duplicating rules.

What to expect

The automation has a specific trigger and a reviewed response.

Troubleshooting

Instagram limits still apply when you change plans. A queued reply is not a sent reply; review its status before repeating an action.
