Configure a follow-up rule
Prepare a follow-up based on a tag, status, or link interaction.
Before you start
Review the connected account, permissions, and message. Enabling a rule can start real sends to conversations that already meet its conditions.
Step by step
- Open Nod AI → Automations and click New follow-up rule.
- Choose the target: Tag, Status, or Link. Select the specific item it applies to.
- Configure the waiting time offered for that target. For links, distinguish Clicked from Not clicked.
- Prepare written text or instructions to generate the message, and review selected resources.
- Read the final summary and save. Check the status before enabling the rule.
- Under Follow-ups, open the rule menu and Manage to review sent, pending, skipped, and failed activity.
How the waiting time works
The wait starts from your last message, including one written manually in Inbox, while the Lead has not replied afterward. Follow-up does not extend Instagram’s messaging window or automatically chain another follow-up after the previous one.
Pause a rule with its switch or archive it to retain its origin and history. Archiving turns it off; restoring does not authorize sends on its own. A Not clicked condition requires confirmed delivery of the link: never sending it is not the same as the Lead ignoring it.
What to expect
The list shows the rule’s target, wait time, message type, and status.
Troubleshooting
If it does not send, check that the Lead still meets conditions, has not replied, and is within Instagram’s messaging window.
Restoring an archived rule leaves it inactive. Review its content before enabling it again.
