Record and review a payment

Distinguish received money from a sales forecast.

Before you start

You need Revenue access. A manual sales record does not charge a card.

Step by step

  1. Open Revenue and check whether an integration has already imported the payment.
  2. For a manual payment, choose the sales-record action and enter the customer, product, amount, date, and payment method requested by the form.
  3. Check sales ownership and currency where applicable.
  4. Save only if this is a real payment that has not already been recorded.
  5. Review the transaction and the person’s record to confirm the association.
Record sale: amount, currency, source, status, and contact and product associations.

Avoid duplicates and verify attribution

First search by person, date, and amount. A payment received through an integration does not need a second manual entry. When comparing systems, use the same period and currency, and distinguish the payment date from the contact’s creation date.

Check the product and assigned salespeople before saving a manual sale. These details explain where revenue came from and what should be delivered. If the provider confirms a payment that is missing in Nod, check the connection and payment event before repeating it. Recording a manual transaction does not charge a card; it records a payment that has already occurred.

What to expect

The sale is recorded against the correct customer and product.

Troubleshooting

Do not re-enter a payment already imported by a provider. Expected Pipeline value and a paid sale represent different things.
